When New Yorker photographer Randall Bachner launched Marrakshi Life in 2013, he thought of urban nomads. It was impossible to imagine then, that by 2021 all nomads will be back home, wearing their urban Kaftans while dancing their way from the kitchen to the living room, in a personal quarantine party.
The unbelievable beautiful design, suggests a very sophisticated look of a relaxed desert, that was born out of beauty consciousness, modern unisex designs and hand-woven fabrics. The cloths are made according to zero waste policy that turn scraps of fabric into bags, patches, children’s goods and accessories.
Randall is committed to supporting responsible manufacturing via sustainable, low impact production methods, and describes his atelier in Marrakech as a community rather than a factory.
